Born in a Kitchen,
Built for Everyone

Mod Pizza was founded with a single, stubborn belief: that exceptional pizza should be accessible to everyone — not just those willing to wait 45 minutes or pay premium prices. We opened our first location in San Antonio with a wood-fired oven, a handful of recipes handed down through generations, and a team that cared more about flavour than fanfare.

From the very first day, guests could watch every pizza being made right in front of them — dough hand-stretched to order, sauce ladled fresh, toppings chosen freely. No frozen shortcuts, no reheated lines. Just real food, made fast, made well.

What started as a neighbourhood spot quickly became a San Antonio staple. Word spread not just about the pizza, but about the way you felt walking out — full, satisfied, and glad you came.

2012

The First Oven

Marcus Rivera opens the original Mod Pizza location on US-281, San Antonio, with a wood-fired oven imported from Naples and a menu of just six pizzas.

2014

Build-Your-Own Launch

We introduce our signature build-your-own format — unlimited toppings, one price — forever changing how San Antonians think about personalised pizza.

2016

Community Roots Deepen

Mod Pizza launches its first annual Food Drive and commits 5% of monthly revenue to local hunger relief programmes across Bexar County.

2018

Catering Programme Debuts

Demand from corporate clients and family events leads us to launch a full catering programme, bringing Mod Pizza to offices, weddings, and stadiums.

2021

Online Ordering & Delivery

We launch direct online ordering, letting customers customise every detail of their pizza and track delivery from oven to door in real time.

2024

Franchise Programme Opens

Following years of requests from loyal fans, Mod Pizza officially launches its franchise programme, inviting the right partners to bring the Mod experience to new communities.
